What causes day and night?

On Tuesday we used google maps to zoom to outer space and look at the earth.

We started at Halswell school...

We saw Christchurch and the South Island

Then we could see the whole of New Zealand.

Now we can see Australia too and the clouds.

When we had zoomed all the way out we could see some of the Earth was dark.

Where do you think the sun is?

We talked with a partner about what we thought was happening. Then we wrote what we thought in our books.

Making rockets and spaceships for our space room

Today we made rockets and space ships in discovery to help decorate our space room.

The Cross Country

I felt nervous at the start.
I felt sick.
I saw Ti Kouka trees.
I saw obstacles on the ground.
I heard parents clapping.
I heard whistling.
I felt happy.
I fell down at the end.
I was exhausted.
