Tammy Came to teach us about South Africa
Today Tammy (Laila's Mum) came to teach us about South Africa.
She made a slideshow to share with us.
She even taught us how to say hello in some different languages. It was fun learning new ways. We are going to try use them in the morning when we do the roll.
Tammy brought in some South African foods for us to try. The first was biltong. We were all very brave and tried some. Some of us thought it was yummy, some of us were not so sure!
Tammy spent lots of time baking for us. We got to try three yummy treats.
Thanks for coming in Tammy!!!! We loved learning all about South Africa.

She has been to two Olympic Games. She told us how she was really nervous and scared before her races and had to breathe slowly to help her nerves.
Nicola didn't get a gold medal at the Olympics but she did get one at the World Champs.
What can you do to be a future Olympian?

Today we explored how things move. We explored pushing and pulling. We also found out about friction and gravity. Which surface do you think is the best surface to roll a ball along?
